CASSANDRA PRESS 2022 ARTIST ZINE SERIES

Curated by Kandis Williams, the Artist Zine series consists of contributions from a community of BIPOC artists, scholars, writers, and poets with the intention of asking such questions as: how can print formats like scripts, newspapers, and pamphlets be activated to produce new associations? And what voice or voices can we represent in simultaneity on the page? How does the virtual page act and operate in our social economies?

A play on the tradition of Xeroxed half-page zines, the series pays homage to Cassandra Press’ earliest modes of dissemination while marking an exciting new development in our range of publications. Authors include manuel arturo abreu, Hannah Black, Rhea Dillon, Boz Deseo Garden, Christine Wang, and Charlotte Zhang, with future iterations to come.
